Putty全名為:
addition silicone putty,
是一種加成式矽膠印模材。
催化劑為氯鉑酸(Chloroplatinic acid)
根據教科書說明:
如果作者有穿戴橡膠類手套進行工作,
此類手套成分中有硫化物存在,
將會在混合時滲入矽膠材料內一併作用,
同時將與氯鉑酸起反應,
破壞了氯鉑酸催化加成聚合反應的能力,
而延緩甚至抑制整個聚合作用的發生。

於是就產生了個疑問,
真是如此嗎?
那作用機制為何?
因此開始查閱相關論文。
先說結論,
原因還不明,
就連為何會導致抑制作用,
原因也不明。
我們常說乳膠類的手套會導致延緩,
甚至抑制聚合作用產生。
但有學者發現,
並非所有乳膠手套都會導致抑制。
合成乳膠手套不會產生這種現象,
而一些天然乳膠手套則會。
但天然乳膠手套,
所引起的聚乙烯基矽氧烷的延遲凝固,
也不像想像的那麼普遍。(9)
另外也有發現,
乙烯基手套對聚合沒有影響。
但也有研究指出。
乙烯基手套在酒精存在下表現出抑制性。
總之,
都是一些觀察到的現象,
原理仍有待更多學者進一步研究了。
